Body Scrubs by Rebeca

Not unlike many young women, Rebecca Paul was a young mother and full -time student; already well into her career in criminal justice when she added entrepreneur to her list of accomplishments, by founding Body Scrubs by Rebeca in August 2011. Inspired by a conversation with her childhood friend, Crystal about her own skin care regimen, she decided to take a leap of faith into this venture. Although it was riskier than the positions she’s pursued in the past, she was convinced that her determination and ambition would pay off.
And so, in her kitchen she began to research and experiment with different ingredients. The result came in Natural Brown Sugar & Morning Joe. She began selling them to close family and friends and has had excellent feedback about her product line. In April 2012, her products were featured in the gift bags of the Black Women In Entertainment Law (BWEL.org) Scholarship Gala that paid tribute to and honored BET Networks CEO, Debra Lee. She is also a frequent vendor at the annual Bushwick Collective block party in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York provided by Curator, Joseph Ficarola.
In 2016, BSBR celebrated five years in business and it was her best year to date. She was featured on the hit podcast, "The Friend Zone"featuring hit blogger and vlogger, "Hey Fran Hey" as the Black Business of the Week in November 2016. And Body Scrubs by Rebeca beauty bars were featured in the Fall Subscription of the Beauty Beat Box, a online beauty subscription box in the same month!
Before Rebeca heads to a business meeting, she rubs on some Cool Cucumber Melon. After a long busy day, she’ll wind down with her favorite glass of red wine and some Vanilla Lavender in the tub. Feel free to apply the scrub that will elevate your mood.
Today, there are over seven all-natural body scrubs, beauty bars, bath salts and body cremes 's the Body Scrubs by Rebeca catalog. She recently introduced a new body creme called "Coco Colada" that can also be used for the hair. As Rebeca was inspired by a per chance conversation and her own will to be successful, she hopes to share her story and inspire others to achieve the American Dream.
