ITA [Ē-TA] MEANS OUTSIDE IN YORUBA

The concept of leisure time has always felt a little foreign to founder Jade Akintola. Even in moments of outdoor serenity, she had a sense of discomfort and hyper visibility as a Black woman. On a recent afternoon by the sea, she took a look at her surrounding gear and felt a cultural disconnect. Having made the decision to prioritize time outdoors, she set out to create products that felt more relatable.
